Imager for Mars Pathfinder (IMP)
Nick Thomas was also a member of the team for the Imager for Mars Pathfinder, the main imaging system which was led by Peter H. Smith from the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona.
Scientifically, we were involved in
- the calibration of the camera
- the brightness and colour of the sky
- the effects of sky brightness on the spectrophotometry of rocks
- studies of Phobos and Deimos.
Other web sites
For IMP, JPL has a nice web site which is still fully functional with lots of background.
